So get your service straight from UUNet for $10/month starting rate for a
useful # of hours (especially if you are using it for email only) and have
dialups just about everywhere on the planet. There's a $20-ish rate, too.
I posted this info a few times a while ago so it's likely in the archives;
but look at www.uunet.net or email Chris Loftis chris.loftis_at_wcom.com for
info. He set me up and said he could fix it so that after I set up my
acount once (fee involved, not too bad) I could turn it "on" and "off" as I
liked and not pay the signup fee again.
uunet is run by worldcom so who knows if Chris is still there, I have been
meaning to email. But I use my unet $10/month global dialup often, and
sometimes even globally, with great success.
