[NTLK] MP2x00 out of order, which electronic components to check?

Well if one of the chips is getting warm and not in the other, I doubt a replacement ROM board will do it on that Newt, unless the CiriusLogic is on the ROM board (don't know off the top of my head). But if it is on the board, worth a try. And worth a try regardless on the other one. It will clear the system patch so that will need to be applied again.
I am sure Frank will chime in with ideas as well.

I had a chat with Sonny Hung a few weeks ago about it and he suggested that I may want to try swapping out the MP2100 ROM card with an eMate ROM card to force a hard reset. I haven’t been able to track down an eMate to try that as yet. I’m interested to hear what steps you’ve tried so far and how it goes in the future so please do keep us informed.
