Well, that might depend on your singing talent, your singing volume and
the distance to the nearest neighbor.

Maybe. But there definitely isn't anything like that torturing me. All I
want is make a song without being afraid of losing money spent on fines and
lawyers. The only way to do this is by either creating it from scratch or
from something you already hold the copyright for. And even then weird
things can happen, because there probably isn't any chord progression on
this planet that hasn't been used over and over again for the last couple of
decades. I've read of a case where someone actually tried to get the
copyright for a chord progression. Thank God his attempt wasn't successful,
otherwise he could have sued half of this planet's composers.
