Indeed it was.

I recall testing ATA Support with a dozen or so different Compact Flash cards and my PCMCIA/CF adapter back in the day. Although I never used ATA Support on a daily basis, it was put through some serious trials storing low-bitrate MP3 files that were hosted through my NPDS server.
