[NTLK] How do you use your Newton day to day?

I have an iPhone as well. So, don't think that I'm a total Newton-only fanatic. My Newton and my iPhone complement each other. As is the case with every device or computer I own., Each serves their own purpose in the big "I'm connected" picture.

My Newton MessagePad might be considered just a powerful electronic notepad with heavy reliance on HWR for data entry and note taking, as well as eMail for data transfer. 

My iPhone is a touch-based Internet and data portal. With it, I have access to my work and personal data. My other computers at home and in my office, along with web based services, help keep all of my data separate and in sync.

Managing my iPhone's ToDo list from my Newton. 

Once a ToDo item becomes a bigger project… say, with a later due date, dependencies or it becomes something more than a simple check-off item, I can email it from my Newton to my Toodledo account. Instantly, my iPhone's apps are updated and so is my office Outlook data. 

By formatting the subject of an email sent to my Toodledo account, I am (not only) able to add a new ToDo item onto my iPhone, I can also set its priority, context, location, or even set a reminder. Essentially, a ToDo Assist feature for my iPhone, using HWR, directly from my MessagePad.

Subject: Install New 750 Watt PS !!! @Client #Next Thursday
Body: Any notes which you wish to be included can be placed in the body of the message.

Here's another hint: Did you know that the Newton understands the iPhone's vcf address format? When you share a contact via email from your iPhone to your Newton, you can "Put Away" the attached .vcf file into your Newton's Names.

You can also do the reverse. Using an app on your iPhone called Copy2Contact, the iPhone will read an email containing contact info and then properly insert the data into your contacts.

So, dust off your Newtons and see how the simple pleasure of handwriting your notes can be an efficient starting point for organizing your daily life.
