...it might be a good idea to let the Newton sit without batteries overnight. This will set the date
back to the last decade, hence the Newton will power up OK and you'll have a chance to patch it.
I've just heard from someone whose Newton wouldn't even let it in Extras to start the Dock when it
was switched on.
