I think you should rather try to port Lynx, or, as has been said, Contiki. Imagine that, surfing the Internet on a pre-2.0 Newton such as an MP110... That would be great, and would be a big step for the non-2.0 Newton world. If you are seriously attempting to do this I wish you good luck and I hope you succeed (though you'd probably have to leave out JavaScript and CSS).
