Oy.
Not sure what the limits are of being on "vacation" status on the list, but
I must surely be pushing the boundaries. I signed up for newtontalk in 2001,
and read postings faithfully (with occasional contributions) for almost six
years. Then, when I went on a sabbatical in 2006--after a short but
embarrassing period of having my machine send auto-replies to the whole
list--got on vacation status. In the interim I switched from Windows to
Mac, and was recently reading about the possibility of a new Mac
tablet--with the inevitable comparisons to the Newton. That got me
interested in this list again, and on a whim I put in my old email address
and password, and it pulled me back into active status. So glad so many are
here.
