Oh My Gosh is it possible that the Newton lives yet again? The Energizer Bunny has nothing on these things. They are darn near indestructible. It seems that reseating the ROM board did the trick I had never taken one apart before. I am reinstalling the apps and will attempt a restore of the data. Thanks to all for the advice. We'll see how it goes. Only problem is that I have one small piece that fell out from somewhere and I don't know where it went to. I guess we'll find out if it was important.

So software problems are essentially eliminated. I would certainly
pull off the back and check on Grants recommendation and while its
open remove the ROM board and reseat it.

Could you check your email settings to see if you can stop it from
including the senders email address in the response.
