If his Newton is draining a set of *non-rechargable* batteries in a
week... the batteries that normally sit on shelves a coupla years
before they go bad... then all Eneloops are going to do is cost a
lot, THEN go flat in a week.

There must be something draining power while the Newton is 'off'.

Either that or the battery charge meter is messed up. Dave, is the
Newton stone dead after a week, or is it working and reports a low
battery?
