Apple sells iPod games on the iTunes Store (tho the selection is
still small).
iPods has long (from the beginning?) had names & dates ability, as
well as for reading notes - I have even heard there are ways to read
e-books (but audio books are actually better given the screen size,
and I find them very enjoyable while driving).
You can also get a peripheral (at least 2 companies make them) that
will let you record audio notes - useful for long meetings.
The only real downside is no written input (tho I bet a smart hacker
could do that with an external keyboard).
