Something I'd like to add: I occasionally spend some time on the Nokia
770 forums, where (obviously) the Einstein bombshell has caused some
tremblings.
It seems a lot of non-Newtonians are blisfully unaware of the fact that
Einstein needs a legally purchased (working?) Newton MessagePad (with
NewtonOS 2.1?) before it can be run on emulated hardware. After
mentioning this tidbit of a factoid, some people immediately forwarded
the "suggestion" that Newton ROMs would become available on warez sites
pretty soon now.
I tried to make it clear to these people that such a move would kill the
Einstein project immediately, but maybe it would not be a bad idea to
make this more vocal on sites that mention Einstein. I'd suggest Paul
put up a really big warning on his site as well.
It's nice that Einstein gets all this publicity, but there's a downside
to being in the limelights as well...
