It's just a quick and dirty utility. I provided the source code in
case someone wants to improve it :)

You think it's a gpio? I don't know how the OS knows the speed of the
cpu. It's something I have yet to investigate. There are many
hardware addresses I haven't decoded.
> Is there a chance to include ViewFrame and its plug-ins in the rex?
It's what I actually do, but for copyright reasons, I don't do it
with the publicly available rex.
I've planned to make package installation possible. In fact, part of
the code for package installation is already there. But my priority
is to change the checksum of the rom directly on the flash first
block (I found the offsets and the way it is computed), so that a
change of the rex doesn't yield to a complete erasal of the flash.
Another plan consists in providing a link with the AppleTalk stack.
TCP/IP will be harder, but AppleTalk is handled by a P-Class, so I
may be able to make the Newton think it does localtalk and link the
NewtonOS stack with the host stack.
> Is it able to show a bigger screen?
I haven't tested with recent builds. I'll add the option. I should
also add an option for the ram size (currently fixed to 4 MB, but it
seems we can have up to 16 MB) and for the flash size (currently two
banks of 4 MB each).
> Is there something I can do to help?
Testing is very useful. I'm grateful to people who noticed the
calculator didn't show numbers properly. I'm still not sure the
emulation is completely correct.
