No sweat.

Exactly, and my happy discovery was that I could do this, until I
realized that it doesn't always work.

In the extension field works fine, but with a delay. There seems to be
something going on there as well, because when I enter 'tel/fax' in the
extension field my Newt always just leaves 'tel/fa', so without the
'x'.
This never really bothered me though, becasue tel/fa also makes
perfactly sense to me of course.

No final verdict there yet ;-)
BTW, I checked out the 'Martine direct on the same line as the
telephone number makes the Newt ad a 6' problem and it seems that the
offending letter is the 'M', without it there's no problem.
So now I'm wondering if I can live with 'artine direct'
This would also mean that I'd have to check the whole alphabet to see
which letter can turn into numbers.
After writing all of this I checked my backup (virgin Newt) and it
seems that the extra 6 isn't a Names problem but Address Access seems
to cause it, Names just does it old and awfully slow routine but
doesn't ad a 6.
Since AA is still light years faster than Names in all aspects (even in
dialing through the speaker WITH a delay) I guess I'll stick to
entering the info in the extension field...
