Audio and Headphone Jack Installation Now Available for the Newton
Messagepad
TORONTO, Ontario - November 7, 2004 - After countless requests from
newton users at www.newtontalk.net, HandMedia announces the launch of
their first project of installing audio and microphone jacks, today.
Users can finally listen to music or have documents read aloud without
disturbing others.
Available immediately, HandMedia will upgrade Newton Messagepad 2000
and 2100's with microphone and headphone jacks for only $35 (CAD) for
one of the two, or $65 (CAD) for both. Now everyone can listen to their
Newton without having to find and buy an expensive handmade audio
'dongle.'
As Jeffrey McMurtrie, CEO of HandMedia said "The Newton was killed
almost seven years ago by Apple®, but thanks to the large Newton
community the Newton has been able to stay superior in regard to the
PDA market. The addition of microphone and headphone jacks ensures that
the Newton will continue to be relevant."
HandMedia is a Toronto, Canada based partnership that manufactures
hardware and software for the Apple® Newton series of handhelds.
Currently, HandMedia provides a Newton Messagepad 2000 upgrade service
in addition to microphone and headphone jack installation for Newton
Messagepad 2000 and 2100's.
