For the most part I have very little problem with MoreInfo's HWR, that said I most often use the pull down menus to fill fields. I have noticed the HWR in Mail V is pretty horrible, not sure why but reply slips are no where near as good as Notes. I would say MoreInfo is in between.

This I have happen but I have had it happen in a wide variety of applications. It seems that many applications with fields act this way.

I really love MoreInfo. It is far more powerful than Dates and many other date managers. My use normally includes writing a first name and then choosing the person from the list of contacts. I use the pull down menus for most locations and meeting topics.

Not sure how much that helps you.
