I've been playing around with the NE2000Sample code hoping to be
able to get it to work with the cards I have - an IBM CCAE II and
this Linksys Combo PCMCIA EthernetCard (EC2T) . There remains
work to do to get a clean install but by using Paul's long name
code and editing the Internet Setup soup the driver is found
for connection slips other than Appletalk.
There was a problem in that only small downloads would work. This
turned out to be due the setting of the FIFO threshold - with
that changed the card seems to work but I get about 11kB/s which
still seems slow. I have nothing to compare this against. Anyone
have a sense of a "normal" receiving bandwidth for wired ethernet
cards in mp2x00s? (My test was using Newt's Cape 1.5c and down-
loading the 2nd part of Luna- about 1.25M in about 115 seconds.)
