Because of the architecture of the Palm Pilot it's currently not feasible.
The only way this could be considered would be operating the Newton OS from
a virtual machine on the Palm Pilot. Again, limited palm pilot resources
would prohibit this. Furthermore, Newt OS is not portable. The source of
most of the internal packages is proprietary, and not available for changes.
We're currently working on a newt os port that would be open source, built
on a linux kernel, portability wouldn't be so much of an issue. This
however, is a way's off...
Keep dreaming though, you might just be pleasantly surprised in the near
future.
