This just means that your Newt is busy 'thinking'.

Normally you can keep typing etc. and the Newt will catch up with you.

If it happens very often you might consider backing up (twice for safety)
and doing a hard reset (brain wipe) followed by a restore. That way you get
rid of fragmentation which speeds up any Newt/computer.
