Thanks Eric and Woody for your prompt replies!
Also, thanks for pointing me towards this useful service - it reminds me
of when a helpful Newton support guy sent me a RAM card to update my OMP
when it lost power and I couldn't read other types of cards anymore
until I put in the system update (I used an Acorn Archimedes machine at
the time so connectivity was once again not an option).
It just seems that I'm so very close already! It seems that there are so
many possible options which could allow me to do what I'm doing - and if
I manage to do it, it might be able to help the community as a whole.
I'm wondering if I can pretend to be a POP3 server or something to get
data across.
