When you install the card and reconnect the battery it will automatically
perform a hard reboot, see the new memory and also adopt the wider data
path. All data and packages will have been erased.
This is why it's important to have a full backup before installation.
You should be able to restore from a backup made to a Mac/PC or a card used
to make a backup without any problems. It's always a good idea to have two
good desktop backups. If you have other ways to export your data from the
eMate such that it can be reused, do that too. Beaming to another Newt is
also a possibility.
