Frank, your website was the key for sure...
I tested across the thermistor and got an open circuit...
So I cracked the pack again, and found the one end of the thermistor
was broken off from the little disk which is the negative contact (I
believe).
After a quick touch up and some more crazy glue, and sanding...
Voila! Charging!
I will report back as to how it works.
