*i* think that the jaggies are caused by misalignment, or corrosion, on the digitizer's connector to the mobo..
if i remember correctly, the ribbon connector is a pressure contact.. it uses a rubber shim to keep pressure on the contacts.. through use, i'm sure that the rubber becomes permanently compressed, and the contacts shift.. even with the location "pin" to orient the cable.. it's either that, or there is some sort of corrosion on the contacts..
either way, pull it apart, clean the contacts, clean the screen/case edges.. realign the connectors and reassemble.. this should be a "cure" to the jaggies..
of course, if you have a lot of garbage built up on the screen edges, that's a source too..
