The Newton Handbook for OS 2.0 goes through all of the assist features -
search for 'assist' in the PDF and you'll find them all.

I personally would use Assist a lot more often if it didn't load the contents
of my Avi's Backdrop scratchpad every time I invoke it. I don't know why...
