[NTLK] Newbie question about MP 2100 that turns itself on Automatically???

OK, I can't figure out how to keep the MP 2100 from turning itself on.
But it's annoying to have to charge my batteries every other day...
Anyone know why it would/could be doing this and how to stop it?
