With a PalmIII (removable batteries), I have I believe 30 seconds to
change the batteries.
More than that, and all your data in normal memory is toast.
I prefer the Newton 2000 leasure battery replacement schedule over the
PalmIII. All my data remained intact for a little over two years. I was
a bit slow in changing the batteries! ;-)
Want to piss off a Palm III owner? If so, while its on, just pop the
batteries out. You get an immediate loss of data. Fun stuff --
unfortunately, I know this from experience. I dropped my Newt while it
was on and one of the batteries popped out).
