I do it all the time using PocketQuicken Connect. This is a small app that
runs on MacOS 7.x-9.x, NOT on X and not on Classic inside X. It uses your
modem-printer port.
I believe the app is on the unna site.
I wish they made the app for X, but Intuit does not support PocketQuicken
anymore. They even sold the name to a company that makes PocketQuicken for
the Palm.
I did write Intuit about an X version of the connection utility, and they
actually wrote me back! They said that they passed my idea on to their
programmers for consideration. I am not holding my breath.
