Laurent,
No problems with other computers (Mac and PC). The DSL connection scheme
is: Phone line to Cisco 678 modem/router -> ethernet to 5 port switch ->
ethernet to Newt (and other computers and one other uplinked 8 port
switch in the basement). I will try the Farallon card in my PB to see if
the same thing happens.
It may be how the Ethernet driver in the Newt is loaded and tries to
make the initial connection with the switch. Right after that the light
goes on for a second and then goes off (even when it does make a
connection). The problem is that when it does not connect, the second
time the the light should go back on, but it does not and I get the
connection error.
