Robert,

I found this in the archive,
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=newtontalk&m=101295394419217&w=2

I'm working on the same problem. I purchased an 8 pin male to DB9 female
cable from MCM Electronics (it was cheap). I'm trying to get it to work
with my Keyspan high-speed USB to Serial Adapter on my iBook. I'm
beginning to think I have a bad port on my Newt 130.

Does anyone know of a self diagnostic in the Newt to determine if my Newt
is indeed the problem?
