Yep, If it goes in, it can come out!
I had 2 Ti-Book's (G4/667) and they got real hot. With the iBook, after
I did the modification, I put some Heat-Sink Grease on the top of the
Chip
and a small piece of Tin-Foil. This with the way a radiator system is on
the iBook
seems to dissipate more heat now. I have the chip running at 75deg.
according to
GagePro. I never opened the Ti-Books, but I'm sure it could be done, but
it might be a real Pain-in the Ars! The biggest problem with the iBook
was getting it all apart! They sure don't build them like PC's!! Under
OS9 all the GagePro info is good, but under OSX, the system Profiler
shows a 400Mhz system? The thing seems about twice as fast, As I did
"NO" test before, and I also added a 512M RAM chip on it today... See if
you can find service Doc's and see if there is anything about the chip
or even opening the case?... Jeff
