I achieved to get to Widescreen edition, but as far as I remember without the ":6700".
Nevertheless what I found was only one package named NewtDb4.pkg.
The utilityDb.pkg and/or the DemoDb.pkg which are needed to run NewtDb are not there.
After downloading and transferring NewtDb4.pkg I found out the following:
NewtDb4 is in fact Version 1.20(4)
It states that it is unregistered so I assume that it will disappear after the evaluation period.
You can find the NewtDb packages as well (and complete) at Unna.
I could not yet figure out the difference between the versions of NewtDb4.pkg on Unna and the one on Carracho, if there is any.
But my first impression on NewtDb is not that good.
It is not resized on the MP2x00 and not very intuitive in my opinion.
I found it much easier to start with FilePad or even easier with EBase.
I do not know what your problem is with QF despite the fact that it is expensive.
I am happy with it, but it is no data base.
Johannes

I cannot seem to locate the "NewtDB can currently be found at Carracho
server:
The Widescreen Edition 213.237.11.153:6700"... help?
Someone suggested Quickfigure [thanx] i have looked at it, it is awfully
complex over and above what i need it for, and it is expensive.
Some dear reader suggested Gradepoint, but UNNA reveals nothing. ANybody
know where I might peruse that?
thanx for all the help!
