Let this be a lesson to me and you all: BACKUP NOW, REGULARLY AND OFTEN.

I've lost all the info since my last back up, including a lot of
important stuff.

Oddly, my restoration did not return the works icon to the button bar on
backdrop plus, though the fact that it crapped out half way through
might explain it.
