Would the Newton's ability to dial directly through its speaker make it
connectable directly to the telephone line? Also, is it possible that its
modem was what required the approval? Or, maybe it was something Apple had
in mind that never made it off the drawing boards? I suppose it's any of the
three that could have caused Apple to seek the cert.?
