Get Byte-Size softwares Hilite2000, 'tap-and-hold' to get an instant
clipboard and use the copy-paste function, in addition to the built-in
diamond-pop-up/down menus.

There's at least three floating clocks on unna.org that can be ubiquitous.

That's what I miss in OS 2.x from OS 1.x.

Through Extras??? Ouch, heap-eating approach.
I have... Vitamin A from standalone.com, you can customize up to four
corner-placed carets with pop-open menus. Add 'Appman' and open apps.
automatically appear in the menus. In OS 2.1, the 'soft' buttonbar allows
drag-and-drop of icons in and out to customize the BB. ButtonBarPlus
allows shrinking the icons to fit two in one space and even resizing and
placement of the BB. I have a BB that runs the entire rightside of the
screen. It holds 31 icons for one-tap access and switching.
I also added StartBar(from standalone.com) for bottom-of-screen
app.switching and hierarchical searching of all folders. Added bonus, I
can close any app. that shows up in StartBar even if it's not on top, even
when the app. is not

Ditto.

There's at least two apps. that helps with this.

IIRC.

Yeah, a voice-recog. turn-on would be cool.

There's at least ten buttons you can add to the status bar and/or use a
backdrop that adds more functions. There's even a one-tap caret app. that
opens/brings on top the notepad.

Try SuperNotePad from...(...drum roll please...)standalone.com.

Double 'eh?'... Try 'Promptpad' for Notes.

Go into landscape mode. I guess.
