I downloaded LOTR from Ed's site (thanks Ed). I have LOTR in three
editions. I have a hardcover three-volume set, an all-in-one hardcover
(boxed display edition), and the three volumes in paperback. I don't see any
problem in my having an electronic edition as well since none AFAIK is being
offered by the publisher.
If everyone who downloads either owns or buys a copy of LOTR I don't
think any harm has been done.
