I have upgraded 1 of my emates by unsoldering the 3.68mhz crystal and
connecting 2 wires to a switch that switchs between the 5 & 3.68mhz crystal.
I put the switch in the left pen holder.
You cannot use the serial with the 5mhz crystal but you can with the slower
one.
You can beam to another newton with the slower speed.
You can also beam to another newton at the faster speed if they are both
upgraded, including 2100mps that have been upgraded.
