A few months ago, I posted a similar question. I was not able to shut off
the Implant on my upgraded 2000. All other aspects worked fine, I just
couldn't get the thing to go off. When I tried, it would crash. Even if I
tried to turn on the back light and held in the button too long, it would
crash.
Oliver sent me a replacement board which I just installed a couple of days
ago. The good news is that the button can be held in as long as I want. The
light comes on and will go off with out crashing. The bad news is that the
Accel still will not turn off.
Has anybody found out a way to turn it off on the fly from a software
solution? Is there something I could have done wrong on the install? Wires
crossed, not good enough connection?
I have sent a tech message to Oliver but have not heard back from him. I am
desperately trying to get this back working as I need to install an item on
the ole newt.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Drew
