that's probably the 'fix' if you want to always load pictures (GIF, JPEG).
under i/General/Images -- check the autoLoad? preference
if you'd rather be selective, you can manually load pictures for a specific
page by selecting View/Load with Images -- and pick the images you want to
get. (and you might be able to load a single image by using horizontal
stroke on 'link' to get menu of options)
