This is seriously a great list. the answers came so fast I barely had
a chance to react. Thanks a great deal.

NBU is the thing for 2.0 systems as far as I can tell, and my
experience once I got it work attests to that.

As for the Belkin/desktop deal. it's certainly a bit of USB voodoo to
make it work, but eventually, it did.
