Thanks for the info, Simon. I fixed it.

BTW, Victor has found a bug. Under some unknown circumstances, you
get an error which looks like a bus error but might well not be a bus
error. Anyway, if this occurs, the state of your ata card and the
Newton is unknown. Please reformat the card (e.g. unmount, then
initialize and then mount, or insert the card with the system prefs
open) and reboot the Newton.
