sheesh...I feel like such a newbie...
It was something on my end and it was with my filters.
Short version? be careful with "body filters"
Yahoo allows 15 maximum filters. Most of my filters
are on the subject line. I have one filter on the
body. That is to trash any email that comes with the
word "FREE" in the body (context sensitive as well.
Yahoo's newest tag-line advertisement now includes the
word "FREE" (in full caps) on all emails sent out.
Since I filter on that word, it was immediatly thrown
away.
So, as s triumph to those on the group who diligently
delete all tag-lines, those who responded to me
emails, removed the Yahoo tag-line and the replys came
through no problem. I usually have all my filters drop
the filtered email into the "Bulk" folder, but for
some reason, I dumped the "FREE" filter into the
trash. I never look in the trash and delete it on a
regular basis without ever looking in it.
Now, I've had this filter active for YEARS! Never once
had this problem. I guess Yahoo just wants to have
their stuff thrown away in the trash.
This was an embarassing problem and I appologize to
all of you who had to suffer through this. I certainly
learned a lesson. It's just difficult to remember what
was configured 5 years ago...
