Just wanted to let everyone know that Newtourage .5 is working perfectly for
me using Apples latest systems (x 10.1.1 & 9.2.2) and Office X.
Yesterday I wiped my machine, in order to re-partition it. Here is the
basics of what I did (more or less)
Installed OS X 10.1 and ran all Apples system updates.
Installed OS 9.1 (on separate "emergency partition)
Upgraded it to 9.2 and ran all Apples system updates.
Copied the system folder to my OS X partition for classic.
Booted to 9.2.2 on the OS X volume & Installed NCU.
Booted into OS X and turned on Appletalk.
Installed Office X & ran Entourage. Nice...
Quit Entourage and ran Newtourage (Newton connected by ethernet)
Initialized from newton to Entourage (with category syncing)
NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!
I started the initialization at 11:45. I have 1500 (ish) contacts.
It took about 40 minutes. The breakdown is..
3 minutes to copy newton contacts into memory
42 minutes to write them to Entourage
6 minutes to add tracking info to newton.
Haven't tried a sync yet, but the initialization process is the one I always
worry about. :-)
