The scuttlebutt is... ;)
It's not a handheld, it's a tablet... ie, the 9x11" Slate
that was killed under Newton a few years back. It would be
essentially a client to a Mac based server system, and would run
MacOS X. (Yes, it's possible - heck, Linux has been ported to a
Palm.)
Apple seems to have relinquished the *hand*held market to
Palm, and is instead going after the range that the Newton 2K line
tried - the laptop replacement.
This almost makes sense.
