NTLK Newton120/NOS1.3 and Megahertz XJ2144

I just purchased a Newton MP120 (NOS 1.3) and it came with a Megahertz
XJ2144 PC card modem. However, when I insert the card I receive a "card
not recognized" error. Does anyone know if this modem card will work with
this verison of the MP120?
