Yes, I had a chance to play around with the Ardis
network and the 100d device from Motorola (a little
history here, Motorola developed a little known device
called the Motorola Marco which was a Newton 110 with
a built-in Ardis 2-way radio...really cool little
device!...Hey, anybody remember the Tarpon?)
When I played with it years ago on a 120, I was
excited to get it working, but the drivers were so
buggy the Newton would crash on a regular basis. Plus,
the batteries for the device drain an an alarming
rate! I wasn't going to stick around for the third
strike. I then got the AllPoints card from Megaherts
(actually built by a small company in Canada and
lisenced to Megahertz) And played around on the Wynd
and RAM system...Much better implementation and easier
to use...the battery life wasn't any better, but at
least my 120 didn't crash...then when I upgraded to my
2000, I tried the Motorola 100d and couldn't find the
drivers anymore...so I never got a chance to use it on
the 2000...but no worry because I had Wynd anyway...
