if you've just got some simple text and graphics, Press would be fine.
you could do some "stack programming" (in NewtonScript) with Bookmaker,
though that's much more complex.
another option is Newt's Cape. your doc created in HTML. each "card"
corresponds to a book page. you can embed NewtonScript and custom objects
to do various things:
