NTLK Question about NewtDB

Hi, all,

I'm not god's gift to databases, so I have a question someone can help
me with. I'm working with NewtDB, but I suppose this is a universal
question to ask.

I want to grab entire records out of one database and put them in
another. (The context is a radio show, where I keep my playlist and
reference previously played songs). How do I do this? So far, I've
slowly saved time by keeping all playlists in one huge record where I
do a "duplicate" when I play the same track a few weeks after its
first play. As my playlist database gets too large, I spend more and
more time scrolling.

My thought was to create one database with the tracks I play, then
pull those out (when needed, when I'm not playing new tracks). I
really only want to pull out three fields from the database and put
them in the new one. How do I do that?

I realize this sounds unclear, but it's mainly because I've never
talked to anyone else about databases. I just kinda play with them.

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

michael
