But as always, it is far preferable to use the driver built for that modem than a generic substitute. I would consider using the '14.4 Normal' setting a fall-back position if you can't get the driver from the two places Kenny suggested. I'm headed to DNUG right now, myself.

Do note that the driver package is only labelled as Megahertz. There are 2 specific drivers, one for the XJ 1144 and another for the 56K modem. You'll only see the actual modem name after installation and accessing it from the modem pref list. It is easy to remove the drivers you don't need from within the list.
